The Bodygee "orbiter" scanning system consists of the following components:
- Turntable with power adapter
- iPad scanner
- Apple iPad with charging cable
- 3D sensor with sensor mount for the corresponding iPad model
- Cable between iPad and 3D sensor
- Protective cover for iPad scanner
Check that the hardware is functioning correctly:
- iPad: check that Wi-Fi is switched on and that there is an internet connection.
- Update iPad iOS so that the iPad is up to date. If there is no new update available, switch the iPad off and on again to clear the memory.
- Perform a sensor test (see below).
- Perform a turntable test (see below).
Sensor test:
- iPad: close all apps.
- Start ScanApp.
- ScanApp -> Profile -> Select the "3D Sensor" menu.
- Disconnect the cable between the iPad and the sensor and reconnect it.
- Wait 5-10 seconds until the connection to the sensor is established.
- The sensor's battery level, serial number, etc. should now be visible. If this is displayed, the sensor is functioning correctly.
Turntable test
- iPad: close all apps
- Start ScanApp
- Turntable: unplug the power cable, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. The LED on the turntable next to the plug should light up red (v2) or flash briefly (v1)
- ScanApp -> Profile -> Select the "Turntable" menu
- Start the "Function test". The connection to the turntable is established, it rotates for 3 seconds and then stops again. If this works, then the turntable is functioning properly
- Test the weight scale function: in the same menu, select the "Weight" widget: this allows you to use the turntable like normal scales: stand on it with the iPad in your hand and read the weight from the display in the app. If this works and the correct weight is displayed, everything is fine.
